Frequently Asked Questions

Yes. Collectors are designed to be banked in rows and connected to a common duct. Larger installations use manifold ducting to aggregate airflow from dozens of panels, scaling output linearly.

The main inputs are floor area, volume, air change target, and solar access. SVPro can calculate the number and size of collectors needed. As a starting point, each collector is typically sized for 50–150 m² of treated floor area depending on the application.

A north-facing surface (in the southern hemisphere) tilted at roughly 20–45° gives the best year-round output. East or west orientations reduce output. South-facing installation is not recommended.

Yes. Wall mounting is common for drying applications where a north-facing wall is available. The collector ships with brackets for both roof and wall installations.

A 10-collector bank needs roughly 35–40 m² of unshaded north-facing roof area. Contact SVPro for a site-specific layout.

Yes. The collectors mount on the roof or north wall and connect to existing floor or wall ducts. SVPro can specify the duct connections required for common grain shed configurations.

Duct diameter depends on the number of collectors manifolded together. SVPro provides a duct sizing guide with each installation specification.

The mechanical installation is straightforward; electrical connections for controllers need a licensed electrician.
